Helmet Sling
How to Use: Remove the sling from its zippered pocket located on the front of the bag and attach it to the two surface mounted buckles on the top of the bag. Slide the helmet into the sling with the front of the helmet pointing downwards. Adjust the helmet sling straps to secure the helmet against the bag. Do not use the Helmet Sling with airline baggage check carriage.
Precautions
Cleaning: Kulkea bags may be cleaned by hand as needed with warm soapy water and followed by air drying in a warm, dry environment. Do not use alcohol or other cleaning solutions. Do not machine wash or dry.
Storage: Kulkea bags should be stored in a warm, dry environment free of mold and mildew.
Airline Baggage Check Precautions:
Do not leave straps hanging from the bag when placing it with airline baggage check.
Do not use helmet slings with airline baggage check carriage.

I have owned this bag and used regularly for ~10 years without issue, ~100 ski days per year and regular ski travel by plane and car. It is still in great shape. I love the compartments, the ability to organize everything the way I like and the ability to vent the boot compartments.
First off, let me say that I’m a HUGE fan of Kulkea boot/ski bags since my first purchase of the Speed Pack boot bag. My FAVORITE feature of that bag is the front full zip-down access that you can easily pack an entire ski outfit in, including helmet, socks, gloves, jacket and ski pants. So awesome that you just unzip the front and you can easily view all your items at once and grab what you need. With that being said, when I purchased this Boot Trekker bag, I mistakenly thought this was a Kulkea signature feature - because what an awesome design!- and my mistake- I should’ve read the specs thoroughly before purchasing. The compartmentalization of this bag is great…if you like that, but I found it annoying and impractical that I didn’t have full view of my items, and access from the front, as with this bag, the main compartment is loaded from the top as in a traditional TransPak. I actually rectified this by cutting out the thin material that divided the front from the back, and now I have what I wanted, so I’m happy ?, but Kulkea made a mistake IMO, in changing this awesome design feature. Also, I have these two bags side by side, and NO WAY is this bag bigger than the Speed Pack…absolutely no way. Apparently the volume in this bag in 70, vs the Speed bag which they state is 54….not possible. I’m going to Breckenridge and packed my Speed bag with all my things in the event this bag didn’t arrive in time, and couldn’t fit everything in the Trekker bag that I had in the Speed Pack- not even close! I can tell just by eyeballing it- this bag is way more narrow. I’ll def keep it as it’s very durable and will be my everyday boot bag, but hoping they combine the materials of this bag, with the open concept of the Speed pack….and this combo will make this girl extremely excited! ?

Love it, all of it! Tons of room. Tons of pockets. The center pocket allows for all sorts of extras. Carrying your gear just isn’t the same when they make it this easy. It’s built with a purpose & built to last. Great bag. Can’t wait to get back out there with it.
I got this for my boyfriend who wanted to be able to carry all his ski gear on his back and he absolutely loves this. He took it up with him to Vermont this past weekend and said it made everything so much smoother. I was also amazed how quickly this arrived! Looking forward to seeing what other products this company makes in the future!
1. Wish the bag had no ID panel- this iron on "decal" cheapens the look of the bag. People can add an ID tag to any strap or handle. I am returning it because the ID panel ruins the look of the bag. 2. Would be nice if the handle was hard plastic or thick nylon instead the rubberised material coating the handle. Other than those two flaws, the bag is well engineered. Nice that there are separate boot compartments to keep the boots from scraping against each other during transport. Generous center storage. Also good the bottom is non-PVC.
I've coached ski racing for over 3 decades, and in all that time, I've never had a boot bag that met with my expectations until I bought this bag. Tons of room, heavy duty (and I mean heavy duty) zippers that don't pull apart at the seams or fail like almost every bag out there. Strong handles, good venting and drainage, all kinds of compartments for everything you need to ski with. Colors that still look good years later, stitching that hasn't pulled out yet anywhere on the bag. As you can imagine, as a coach I carry a lot of gear in my boot bag, and even with all the weight and yanking and pulling in and out of team vans, airline cargo handlers, and teenage athletes who are less than delicate with baggage, none of my seams have shown the least bit of wear. We're talking years of service, with gear going in and out of the bag almost daily during the season. I'm rarely, if ever impressed with modern day equipment, as everyone tries to make their stuff as cheap as possible so they can increase their bottom line. This bag is reasonably priced, and built to last years. If you are looking for the best bag out there, stop here and grab a Kulkea!!!!! I'm sure you'll be as impressed as I am. FYI, if (and I do mean IF) this bag ever does wear out, I'm buying another one straight away!!!!!
This a fantastic addition to my ski gear. Lots of storage space and very flexible. This bag will handle a long weekend solo, thaks to the center storage. With the Boot Trekker & one suitcase you’re set for a longer trip. The great straps and waist belt make it comfortable to haul & keep your hand free. I love it.
For years, I've used a compact AXIS brand bag which worked well for airline trips. I've now started working at a mountain, and needed more room for a variety of gloves, mittens lunch and and extra midlayer for changing conditions.
This bag exceeds all my expectations. After struggling with slipping shoulder straps on my old bag, a sternum strap was a hard requirement. The hip belt is a bonus, and the rigid back panel makes trudging uphill back to the remote lot at 5:30PM nearly a pleasure.
The organization capability is outstanding, and there's not much I can add to what others have said.
I do have one suggestion for a change. My bag is all black, including the zipper pulls, and when booting up in a typical ready room with overhead lighting, it's sometimes tricky to find the right pull, since some of the front ones can be near each other when closed. I am hoping I solved this problem by replacing the existing black paracord pulls with a variety of 325 and 425 grade paracord in different colors. (Haven't used it for work with the new cords yet.) I didn't bother replacing the heat shrink tubing, but if I need to, that's a simple addition.

Owned several other competitors bags, and none have compared. I am a pro ski patroller and my equipment takes a good beating and I need durable gear. This product has been excellent so far, ample pockets, durable zippers, made from strong material while looking sharp and easy to carry. If you are on the fence, make the purchase, you will not be disappointed! Only challenge is a high price point!
My previous ski boot bag was a Transpac Pro, which I have for over 10 years. I elected my new bag assuming it would hold more, but seems to hold less, particularly as the center space is divided. I do like the bag is lighter and a bit smaller overall
My XXX brand boot bag disintegrated and I bought the Kulkea Trekker, My family now own 3 of them, I ski and carry the bag 100-150 days each winter and also travel out West each year and Kulkea stands up to the abuse that other brands cannot, And its styling while it functions, The Trekker is worth the investment,
First boot bag Ive ever owned that I couldn't fill. My boots dry w/o taking them out too due to the large side vents and grommets. Helmet stays nice and firm and hasn't fallen out.
This bag is exactly what Ive been looking for! It has all the storage compartments you could dream of and more. Theres probably a pocket I haven't discovered yet. Most people think I over-pack with gear for day trips etc, I just like to be prepared for all possible conditions/situations and share any backup gear with those that didn't bring it all. I can easily pack my sb boots, jacket, pants, helmet, knee brace, 2x gloves, mid-layers, 2x goggles, hats, socks, water, snacks, and smaller personal items. This bag is durable and well designed! Highly recommended, you'll be happy!
Great bag with tones of room. Easily holds all my gear with ease plus a lunch if need be. Very well made. Only thing I wish was different was that dual zippers were used, then it would be perfect. Highly recommended.
This is a great boot bag. It holds all the stuff I don't usually wear to the ski area. Its got lots of room to hold ski pants, gloves, socks, goggles, hat, fleece pull-over etc. In other words it holds all the stuff I need for a day of skiing. All I have to do is grab this bag and I know Ive got what I need. Wish the top opening was a little bigger but other than that the bag has lots of storage pockets and the helmet sling on the outside of the bag is a real nice feature as it allows me to pack more into the bag. All in all this is a great boot bag. I highly recommend it!
I really like this bag! It holds all of my go to stuff for hitting the slopes! I know that when I pick up the bag to go skiing that everything I need is in it, no more searching for stuff or getting to the slopes missing something. It could use a larger top access panel. All in all Im very happy with this bag
I just got this for Christmas and I couldn't be happier with it. I have already used it twice for skiing and it is perfect and definitely worth every cent. It is so sturdy, aesthetically pleasing, and just holds everything in just the right place. Love it!
Couldn't be more pleased. Outstanding value. Id pay more! The bag has plenty of room and pockets for my gear. Lots of flexibility to pack the bag as I see fit based on the gear I carrying on any given day. Easy to unzip the boot pockets , at the end of the day, and install my electric boot warmers. My only knit is that the top opening could be larger so I can easily stuff the helmet in the bag if I don't want to use the helmet sling on the outside of the bag
Ive been looking for a bag with the right features and compartments that wouldn't break the bank...$200 for a boot bag is excessive. The I saw this which I was able to purchase at a discount. I studied it online then decided to go for it. Its bigger then it looks and holds everything: pants/jacket, 2 hats, 2 sets of gloves, multiple neck warmers, snowboard boots, heaters, down jacket, goggles with spare lenses, accessories such as sunscreen, hand warmers, tool, etc and of course the helmet. Fully loaded it weighs nothing on my back. A daisy chain on the outside would be nice for the wet stuff after a powder day but I managed to remedy that. This bag is a winner.
I recently started using the Boot Trekker and LOVE it! It is a bag that is well thought out with a pocket for everything. The bigger compartments are perfect for all the bulky stuff and anything fragile you might need to bring along will have a safe place to be stored as well. Im finding that after 5,000 miles, 20 hotel/condo transfers, 500 loads into the bed of the truck and more than a few drops ... The Boot Trekker its getting a little scuffed up but she hoses off well and never leaked, and always had enough room for the primary and the secondary/backup gear. And no we are not going to talk about the time she fell our of the truck at 40mph... all goods were fine. Hard to kill this one lol
If you wish to do some ski travel this is the bag for you. I just took a 4 day local (7 hour drive) ski trip and was able to pack all of my gear (except skis and poles) into this bag. Looking forward to taking it out west this spring.
I have loaded the bag and I am very impressed with the quality of the bag and the thought that went into the design. I only wish that the main gear compartment was a bit larger. Not enough room for bibs, Long Johns, a racing suit, jacket, and a few other essentials. If you don't want to put a lot of clothing in, it is fine. The straps and construction of the bag are incredible.
Gone are the days of stuffing and schlepping my gear in an old backpack. My back shoulders on fire from my boots slung to one side. I now own the SMARTEST and most STYLISH ski bag in town,. Quality construction, quality design, quality comfort. We are a family of four skiers, and each of us has our own Kulkea boot bag. Replaces the giant duffle bag we used to wrestle with (could never find what we were looking for). My family volunteers with an adaptive ski program, and we have to carry a lot of gear. Not a problem with these bags. Ski gear is now properly packed, and readily available. Well done Kulkea.

This bag is a bit bulky, but it has pockets for everything you could want. Enough space to put your helmet in or if fully loaded, sling for helmet on outside as well!
Bag feels well built, more than enough space for mine and my 5yr old sons clothes helmets, goggles and more. Comfortable on while completely full, really balanced quite well. My only complaint (really more of a suggestion for future modifications) would be to make the top opening into bag larger. Otherwise an excellent bag.
